Former Dallas Cowboys defensive end stunned by Dak Prescott’s comments about the Eagles

Dak Prescott was at a Children’s Cancer Fund Gala on Tuesday when he commented on how the Dallas Cowboys compare with the Philadelphia Eagles, fresh off their Super Bowl win over the Kansas City Chiefs.

Prescott was confident citing his regular season record against the Eagles over the past couple of seasons. Ex-Cowboys defensive end Marcus Spears expressed shock at the comments.

“I feel like we’ve competed with the Eagles and beat them for the most part when we’ve played them. I don’t want to say check the record when the other guy is holding the trophy right,” said Prescott, “But even watching the NFC Championship and those two teams, teams that we battle against each and every year a couple of times. As I said feel confident that we’ve gotten the better part each and every time.”

Spears thought the comments were even worse coming from Prescott.

“Coming from Dak this actually makes me a little more upset. I would understand if it came from Micah [Parsons],” said Spears, “ I get it what you’ve done on the field, we not talking about what you’ve done on the field we’ve watched yall win 12 games in a row three seasons in a row. Championships, this is Philadelphia’s third Super Bowl appearance, they won two out of those three in the last what ten years y’all. So right now you’re not close to them.”

The Cowboys have made the playoffs three of the last four seasons but have failed to advance past the divisional round and missed the playoff last year after injuries and poor play derailed their season.
