Why did Dallas Cowboys kicker Brandon Aubrey send a cheerleader a personal apology?

Dallas Cowboys kicker Brandon Aubrey wrote a note of apology towards team cheerleader Michelle Siemienowski after he hit her in the head while kicking off during the team’s week 18 loss to the Washington Commanders.

Aubrey attempted to squib a kick-off but lost control of the ball which swerved out of bounds and went just beyond the outstretched arms of a photographer who tried to stop Siemienowski from getting hit by the ball.

Siemienowski posted the message Aubrey sent on her Instagram story.

“Michelle so sorry about hitting you on [Kick off], hope you are doing well! Love watching y’all!” said Aubrey.

She said Aubrey tried to find her after the game, but that they didn’t run into each other, and that she was happy to end her rookie season with a souvenir.

Siemienowski said there wasn’t a need to worry as she wasn’t injured and that she was touched by all of the messages asking how she was doing after the incident.
