Cowboys QB Dak Prescott and fiancé announce they are expecting a second daughter

In an exclusive article with Sports Illustrated Swimsuit, Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott and his fiancé, Sarah Jane Ramos, announced that they are expecting a second daughter with a due date in May 2025.

Prescott and Ramos welcomed their firstborn daughter, Margaret Jane “MJ” Rose Prescott, on February 22, 2024. While the couple is keeping the first name of their second daughter under wraps until birth, they did share that her middle name will be Rayne, which is also Dak Prescott’s given first name.

“Obviously parenting brings a new element to your relationship because it’s not about you two anymore, the priority is your child,” Ramos told Sports Illustrated. “But [parenting] makes you understand your partner on such a deeper, emotional level, and it’s definitely brought us even closer. It’s a blessing.”

The couple got engaged in October during the Cowboys’ bye week doing what Ramos loves, golfing. A wedding date has not yet been made public.

On the field, Prescott is recovering from hamstring surgery that will keep him out for the remainder of the season. His rehab work is scheduled to conclude in April in time for both the arrival of his second daughter and the team’s organized offseason workouts in May. He signed an NFL record-setting four-year, $240 million contract just hours before the 2024 season began, becoming the highest-paid player in the league.
