Dallas Cowboys star Micah Parsons not worried about contract negations

Micah Parsons was on his show “The Edge with Micah Parsons,” where he discussed Dak Prescott’s new contract and gave his thoughts on his contract situation.

Parsons said he was happy Prescott received his new contract because of the hard work the quarterback has consistently put in.

“Highest paid player ever in NFL history, numbers, guarantees anything you can imagine,” said Parsons.“ Dak is that guy. No BS, he deserves everything that he gets he never cheated the game, comes in every day positive attitude, great work ethic, He’s always first one in, last one out, consistently being the best person and player you can possibly be.”

“So congratulations Dak Prescott you are one of the ones, no one deserves it like you do,” said Parsons.

Prescott’s contract shifts attention to Parsons as the next Dallas Cowboys star in line for a massive extension.

The Penn State product will be an unrestricted free agent prior to the 2026 season and discussed his contact situation saying he was more focused on the team’s success.

“A lot of fans are worried about me. I know I’m going to be a Cowboy, there’s nothing like Cowboys Nation. The love is very mutual, but as for me, I’m just focused on winning games, I wanna win those big games, I wanna win those playoff games, get to the Super Bowl. For me, The contact is not really what I’m worried about,” said Parsons, “Right now we’re gonna focus on just trying to be legendary, be great and bring championships back to Dallas because that’s what the most important thing is.”

Parsons has been one of the league’s best defenders since being drafted in the 2021 NFL Draft with three All-Pro selections in his first three seasons and he will almost certainly become the highest-paid defender in NFL history whenever he signs his next contract.
