Dallas Cowboys fans were excited for the return of Ezekiel Elliott in his first game with the team since 2022 and he did not disappoint in helping lead the team to an easy 33-17 victory over the Cleveland Browns.
Elliott ran 10 times for 40 yards with a touchdown and added two catches for 9 yards in the blowout victory.
Elliott’s touchdown, a 3-yard run, was his first in a Cowboys uniform since scoring in week 17 against the Tennessee Titans during the 2022 NFL season.
The Cowboys running back room was much maligned coming into the season with some calling it the worst running back room in the NFL.
In their first game of the season, the Cowboys ran 24 times for 103 yards (4.3 yards per carry) with one rushing touchdown as a team.
