Former New York Jets head coach Rex Ryan praises Dak Prescott following new contract

NFL media is sounding off after Dak Prescott signed a four-year $240 million contract on Sunday before his Dallas Cowboys face off with the Cleveland Browns in their season-opener.

ESPN pundit and former New York Jets head coach Rex Ryan praised the deal.

“For the future, they absolutely, the Dallas Cowboys made the right move. Dak Prescott is one of the best quarterbacks in the league,” said Ryan.

Ryan said Prescott was an exceptional leader who is over criticized by the media.

“The thing I like most about it, I think he is the best leader in the National Football League. He puts it all on himself to the point where he gets criticized by pundits everywhere who don’t know anything,” said Ryan “He makes it easier for his teammates and everybody else.”

Prescott will lead the Cowboys in their season opener against the Cleveland Browns at 3:25 p.m. on Sunday at Huntington Bank Field.
