‘1-3 out of the gate. Son of a …’ Dallas Cowboys fans react to 2022 schedule
The Dallas Cowboys are supposed to have the easiest schedule in 2022, but you’d be hard pressed to convince many fans.
A glance at the social media reaction to the Cowboys’ 17-game schedule, which begins against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers at 7:20 p.m. Sept. 11 at AT&T Stadium on NBC’s Sunday Night Football, shows some fans predicting a losing season. Many are expecting a record around .500 while another faction sees a winning season ahead.
The Cowboys went 12-5 a year ago, winning the NFC East but losing in the wild card round to the San Francisco 49ers. The Cowboys have won the division six times in the past 20 years. The last team in the division to win consecutive division titles was the Philadelphia Eagles from 2001-04. The Cowboys have had five losing seasons since 2002 and haven’t advanced to the NFC Championship Game since 1995.
Based on 2021 records, the Cowboys are tied with the Washington Commanders with the easiest 2022 schedule in the NFL.
