‘Yes, indeed.’ CeeDee Lamb tells Snoop Dogg, Jamie Foxx Dallas Cowboys Super Bowl bound
Dallas Cowboys receiver CeeDee Lamb was interviewed by Snoop Dogg and Jamie Foxx Sunday afternoon on the Peacock Network.
After some pleasantries, including Foxx, who was wearing a vintage Roger Staubach jersey, doing a Jerry Jones impression, Snoop Dogg cut to the chase after the Cowboys beat Washington 27-20.
“Are you and the Cowboys going to be joining me at the Super Bowl this year,” the rapper asked Lamb.
“Yes, indeed,” Lamb said. Of course, what do you expect him to say? And even Lamb sort of laughed off the question. “Come on, you know I’m going to say that.”
“I had to ask,” Dogg said. “That’s what they want to know. I’ll see you when you get here.”
The Cowboys (9-4) next play the New York Giants (4-9) at noon Sunday at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey.
The Oscar-winner Foxx grew up in Terrell and is a lifelong Cowboys fan. He attended the Cowboys’ Thanksgiving Day game a few weeks ago.
“Let’s get to the bowl, baby,” Foxx said. Foxx asked Lamb if he likes playing for owner Jerry Jones, before Foxx did an impression.
“He expects a lot of out of us. And we expect a lot out of ourselves,” Lamb said. “I feel like the sky is the limit.”
Lamb said wearing No. 88 after Hall of Famers Drew Pearson and Michael Irvin is a constant reminder of the legacy of the Cowboys.
“Every day I wake up, I understand I have a challenge in front of me,” he said. “Just wearing the jersey number, being here, having all of the spotlight, America’s team … I feel like that’s my mojo.”
