Cooper Rush filled in for Dak Prescott to lead the Dallas Cowboys to their sixth consecutive win Sunday night against the Minnesota Vikings.

The surprising 20-16 win included a clutch, go-ahead, 5-yard touchdown pass from Rush to Amari Cooper, who made the catch in the back of the end zone with less than a minute remaining. According to NFL Research, it’s the first time a quarterback’s first name has been the exact match of a receiver’s last name on a touchdown pass.

The Cowboys (6-1) are now sitting in the pole position with the other top teams in the NFC, including the Cardinals (7-1), Packers (7-1), Rams (7-1) for the top seed in the playoffs.

The Cowboys host the Denver Broncos (4-4) at noon at AT&T Stadium on Sunday.

The Rush-led win had many on social media beside themselves. Same goes for his teammates, including Prescott who gave Rush a bear hug on the way to the locker room after the win. WFAA/Ch. 8 reporter Mike Leslie caught the moment.

Cowboys rookie linebacker Micah Parsons celebrated the win with a few posts on Twitter. “That’s how we ball baby! Another one.!” In another post, Parsons said “The lion is always hungry.”

In a short video clip posted by the Cowboys official social media team, head coach Mike McCarthy tells his team: “I love the way you guys just keep fighting,” McCarthy said. Tight end Dalton Schultz is then invited to lead the team “together” chant.
