Former WWE star wants to make Dallas Cowboys’ Ezekiel Elliott eat ‘Feed Me’ trademark

Dallas Cowboys star Ezekiel Elliott might have bitten off more than he can chew.

The running back, who unveiled a massive “Feed Me” tattoo across his stomach earlier this season, is trying to trademark the phrase. The problem is, former WWE wrestler Ryback already owns the trademark for “Feed Me” and he’s threatening legal action in a video posted on his YouTube channel this week.

“It’s very disappointing. I think it’s low-life scum ..., quite frankly,” Ryback said. “He’s a wrestling fan. He 100% got [the phrase] from me. I already established it and own it. You got to fight this stuff.”

Elliott has been mimicking an eating motion after big plays and scores during his five seasons in the NFL and fans have had fun with related memes. Elliott has also incorporated the phrase in his cause to fight hunger in Dallas-Fort Worth. But trying to encroach on the trademark is not cool, Ryback said.

“He’s not going to get it. The problem is this is exactly my phrase. And it’s the same meaning and that will cause confusion,” Ryback said. “I have a feeling it’s going to be denied by the trademark office. Now if it’s not, I will simply have to pay and oppose it and we will provide evidence and he will not get it. I’ll tie him up [in court] for years.”

Elliott and the Cowboys host the Cleveland Browns at noon Sunday at AT&T Stadium.

Ryback thinks Elliott was given bad advice and said decent human beings don’t pull moves like this.

“He needs to get a better group of people around to advise him. Who gets a tattoo before it’s even done? That’s pretty silly,” he said. “I hope he has a good tattoo removal. I feel bad he got the tattoo on his stomach.”
