Dak Prescott leaves after shot to head, returns to pull Dallas Cowboys closer with score

Dak Prescott left the field Sunday after taking a hit to the head in the third quarter of the Dallas Cowboys’ game against the Atlanta Falcons.

Veteran Andy Dalton, who signed with the Cowboys in the off-season, took over with Cowboys inside the 5-yard line. Prescott was examined on the sideline and cleared. He returned after two plays and scored on a quarterback keeper from 1-yard out to pull the Cowboys to within 29-24 with 4:12 left in the third quarter.

The Falcons led 20-0 in the first quarter after the Cowboys fumbled three times. Dallas trailed 29-10 at the half.

The Cowboys announced 21,708 fans were in attendance at AT&T Stadium on Sunday. Limited tickets were available amid the coronavirus pandemic.
