Tony Romo’s fantasy football convention is moving to a new, bigger location in Dallas

Tony Romo’s fantasy football convention, SportsCon, returns to Dallas in July and has two new owners in Dallas Cowboys defensive end DeMarcus Lawrence and Los Angeles Chargers running back Melvin Gordon.

Romo and Cowboys running back Ezekiel Elliott remain part of the ownership group and this year’s convention will be held July 10-12 at the Dallas Convention Center and will feature over 200 athletes and personalities.

“Two years ago, we had the vision to give our fans unprecedented access to the players and personalities that they love. It’s exciting to see that vision be realized as we have more athletes attending the conference and more owners joining our ranks,” SportsCon CEO Andy Alberth said. “The move to the Dallas Convention Center takes us to a new level and provides us with even more space to create an experience of a lifetime for the fans.”

Hall of Fame running back Emmitt Smith, boxer Shawn Porter, former MLB slugger Jose Canseco, former Texas star Vince Young and Texas A&M Heisman Trophy winner Johnny Manziel were among the stars in attendance last year along with a host of current Cowboys and other NFL players.

SportsCon bills itself as an interactive experience for fans and companies like no other, featuring an indoor football field, Basketball court, a boxing and wrestling ring, batting cages, an eSports lounge and now even an MMA cage, creating different activities and opportunities for fans to engage with their heroes and idols.

SportsCon had just under 7,500 attendees in 2019. This year they expect to have close to 15,000, according to Alberth.

Tickets can be purchased at GoSportsCon.com. Updates leading up to the event can be found at @GoSportsCon on Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook.
