Another championship is coming to the Dallas Cowboys’ facility in Frisco.

But, ahem, it’s not another Lombardi Trophy. At least not yet.

The Alliance of American Football, however, has decided to move its championship game on April 27 from Las Vegas to The Ford Center at the Star in Frisco. It’s the Cowboys’ practice field but the 12,000-seat venue has been home to high school football games, college basketball tournaments and concerts since it opened in 2015.

The AAF’s inaugural season began on Feb. 9. The eight-team league includes the San Antonio Commanders. Former Cowboys’ fullback Daryl Johnston is the team’s general manager.
