Jerry Jones won the Amari Cooper trade.

At least that’s how most fans and pundits feel at this very moment.

Acquiring the talented wideout from the Oakland Raiders cost owner Jerry Jones a first-round pick in the 2019 NFL Draft.

Even though quarterback Dak Prescott was in-need of a major weapon on offense, many felt that the price of the deal was too high. But since that deal, Cooper has been the most productive receiver in the NFL.

And one ESPN expert believes the pass catcher will regress in 2019.

On Monday, Bill Barnwell wrote a story that included this nugget:

“Prorating Cooper’s performance would amount to a line of 101 catches for 1,541 yards and 14 touchdowns. No receiver managed to hit those marks in receiving yards or touchdowns last season, and they basically would lock in Cooper as a top-two receiver in the NFL this season. Cooper can hit those numbers for a few games at a time, and he’s still just 24 years old, but projecting anyone to be a first-team All-Pro-caliber wideout over a full season is a dangerous game. Everything has to go right, and it’s more likely that Cooper’s catch rate slips or he misses a game or two because of injury.”
