Cowboys leader returns, but another player remains in doghouse
Linebacker Sean Lee will return to the field for the Dallas Cowboys for the first time in more than a month.
The Cowboys (8-5) can clinch the NFC East title with a win against the Indianapolis Colts (7-6) at noon Sunday at Lucas Oil Stadium.
Lee, who has missed the past five games with a hamstring injury, was listed as active for the first time since leaving with the injury against the Titans on Nov. 5.
Defensive end Taco Charlton, however, will be inactive for the second consecutive week. Charlton is healthy but has been in something of a coaches’ doghouse the past several weeks.
Colts receiver T.Y. Hilton is active today despite a lingering ankle injury that had him listed as questionable.
Right guard Zack Martin will not play for the first time in his career. Martin injured his left knee last week against the Eagles. Rookie Connor Williams will start in his place. Martin was ruled out on Friday. He started the first 77 games of his career.
Wide receiver Tavon Austin, who has been out for two months with a groin injury, practiced this week and is close to returning, but he’s not active Sunday for the Colts.
Other inactives today for Dallas include quarterback Mike White, linebacker Chris Covington, tight end Geoff Swaim and defensive end David Irving.
Colts inactives include receiver Daurice Fountain, safety Mike Mitchell, linebackers Jonathan Williams and Skai Moore, center Josh Andrews, guard Mark Glowinski and defensive tackle Hassan Ridgeway.
