Cowboys star who aggravated knee injury against Eagles expected to play vs. Colts
Dallas Cowboys right guard Zack Martin is expected to be available Sunday against the Indianapolis Colts.
Martin left Sunday’s game against the Eagles after aggravating the same knee injury that has plagued him for over a month.
The Cowboys (8-5) play the Colts (7-6) at Lucas Oil Stadium at noon Sunday.
Martin is unlikely to practice this week but Cowboys’ owner Jerry Jones said there wasn’t any structural damage to Martin’s MCL.
“It’s the same knee, same injury,” Cowboys coach Jason Garret said. “We’ll take it day by day. He’s as tough as they come. He’s getting rehab and treatment on it and we’ll so how it goes.”
Martin, who has been a perennial All-Pro player in each of his four seasons in the league, has started all 77 games in his career.
Rookie Connor Williams replaced Martin at right guard. Williams started at left guard this season before an injury sidelined him.
“He really played well,” Garrett said of Williams. “He responded the right way.”
