How secure is Jason Garret’s job as the head coach of the Dallas Cowboys?

It depends who you ask.

Fans want owner and general manager Jerry Jones to fire him, no matter how the team finishes this season. Many media members share that sentiment.

Even after the Cowboys’ blowout win over the Jaguars last Sunday, oddsmakers still believe Garrett is the most likely coach to be fired during this NFL season.

But Jones might not feel that way. He and his son, Stephen, who is the Cowboys vice president, stood by the coach after his questionable decision making during the Cowboys’ 19-16 overtime loss to the Houston Texans.

Garrett’s contract is up after this season. But on Tuesday, Jeff Sullivan of DallasCowboys.com said sources told him that the organization is considering offering the coach an extension.

During an appearance on 105.3 The Fan, Jerry Jones denied the story.

That didn’t stop Cowboys’ fans from losing their minds on Twitter.
