Former members of the Dallas Cowboys are always going to make headlines.

In Week 2 of the NFL season, the team that Jerry Jones built topped the New York Giants, 20-13, in a complete effort.

But the players who are no longer with the team also made noise on-and-off the field this past Sunday.

1. Dez Bryant, NFL Free Agent

The outspoken wide receiver live-tweeted the Cowboys’ 16-8 to the Panthers in Charlotte. And Bryant was at it again in Week 2, only this time he gave his former teammates praise.

2. Dan Bailey, kicker, Minnesota Vikings

Technically, Bailey was a free agent during the action this weekend, having reportedly turn down offers from several NFL teams. On Monday, he signed with the Minnesota Vikings because he thinks that they can win the Super Bowl.

3. Orlando Scandrick cornerback, Kansas City Chiefs

The Chiefs pulled out a hard-fought 42-37 win over the Pittsburgh Steelers and Scandrick played a ton of snaps for the second week in a row. But he also committed a terrible holding penalty that cost his team a defensive touchdown and almost lost the Chiefs the game.

4. Jason Witten, Analyst for ESPN’s ‘Monday Night Football’

His regular-season debut in the booth got mixed reviews. Two games in and reviews aren’t great regarding his abilities as a color analyst.

5. Anthony Hitchens, linebacker, Kansas City Chiefs

While the Chiefs’ offense shinned, the team’s defense struggled, again. Hitchens, however, once again paced his team in tackles (12 total).

6. Tony Romo, NFL in-game analyst for CBS

Romo and his partner Jim Nantz called the AFC title game rematch between the Patriots and the Jaguars in Jacksonville. Only this time, the home team prevailed, 30-20.

7. Alfred Morris, running back, San Francisco 49ers

Some thought Morris would have emerged as the team’s primary running back by now. But that job seems like it belongs to Matt Breida.
