Dallas Cowboys left tackle Tyron Smith had his back tighten up on him during practice Friday. Right tackle Doug Free is dealing with a quadriceps injury.
But executive vice president Stephen Jones expects both offensive linemen to play against the Chicago Bears on Sunday night.
“We’re ready if something happens there, but we expect them to play,” Jones said on Friday afternoon during an appearance to unveil the new Stadium Club restaurant at AT&T Stadium.
“If for whatever reason they can’t, we’ve got a good football player in [third tackle] Chaz Green and certainly Ron Leary and the whole crew.”

Smith has battled a stinger issue early on this season, and missed five offensive snaps during the season opener when it flared up. It’s unknown whether the back issue is related to the stinger.
Smith landed on the injury report after being limited Friday and is listed as questionable for the game.
“I think he’ll be all right,” Jones said. “Those things are along the way, but he did have it tighten up on him a little bit. The full expectation is that he’ll be ready to go. We did put him on the injury report cause he didn’t get through practice, but the expectation is he’ll be ready to go.”
Free, meanwhile, has been working through a quadriceps injury. He has played every offensive snap this season, but is also questionable for the game.
Cornerback Orlando Scandrick is also listed as questionable and did not practice this week with a hamstring injury. Scandrick has complained about his injury keeping him from being himself on the field, and will likely be a true game-time decision on Sunday.
“He’s obviously questionable and we’ll see how he feels when we get there,” Jones said. “He’s been working through this and I admire him because he’s definitely got something going on there with that hamstring.
“We want to be careful. At the same time, he’s a competitor and he wants to be out there. We’ll make that decision at game time.”
Defensive end Jack Crawford (shoulder) is questionable after being limited Wednesday and Thursday, but was a full participant on Friday.
Linebacker Mark Nzeocha (Achilles) has been limited all week, and is doubtful. As expected, quarterback Tony Romo (back) and defensive end Charles Tapper (back) are out.
