If history is any indication, the eyes will have it when the Dallas Cowboys host the Chicago Bears at AT&T Stadium on NBC’s Sunday Night Football.
The game will mark the first of three scheduled Sunday night games on NBC for the Cowboys. The others are Oct. 30 at home against Philadelphia and Dec. 11 at the New York Giants.
The Cowboys, take a 1-1 record into Sunday night’s game against the winless Bears (0-2).
The Cowboys appeared on Sunday Night Football three times last season and was part of the third-, seventh- and ninth-most watched prime-time shows between Sept.7, 2015 and Jan. 3, 2016, according to The Nielsen Company.

Those viewership numbers were posted even with the team on the way to a 4-12 record.
The Cowboys’ 27-26 season-opening win over the New York Giants in 2015 at AT&T Stadium drew 26.8 million viewers.
The Cowboys’ 26-20 overtime loss at the New Orleans Saints drew 24.2 million viewers.
The Cowboys’ 33-27 home loss against Philadelphia drew 23 million viewers.
Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Dez Bryant is among the players featured in the opening.
