Globe Life Park goes from diamond to gridiron as Dallas Renegades’ XFL season draws near

We have our first look at Globe Life Park, the football stadium.

The Dallas Renegades, the XFL team that starts its inaugural season Feb. 9 at the Texas Rangers’ former ballpark, posted images of the stadium set up for football Thursday night.

Most of the reactions on Twitter were positive to the football look. The park, which opened in 1994 has hosted soccer games but never football.

The Rangers move to Globe Life Field across the street for their home opener on March 31. The team plays the St. Louis Cardinals in a spring training game at the new stadium on March 23.

The Renegades will play five of their 10-game schedule at Globe Life Park.
