Most football fights add up to little action. Most of the time, players are wearing their helmets and the rest of their pads so punches aren’t going to faze them.

That wasn’t the case Sunday afternoon when the Denver Broncos were taking on the Raiders in Oakland.

It all started when Raiders’ receiver and Texas Tech ex Michael Crabtree went after Broncos cornerback Aqib Talib in the first half. Crabtree blocked/shoved Talib off the field, over a referee and down to the ground on the sideline. By then, both teams were flailing and fighting. It took five minutes before order was restored. The incident likely goes back to a game last January when Talib ripped the chain Crabtree was wearing off his neck during a game.

Crabtree and Talib were ejected, along with the Raiders’ offensive lineman Gabe Jackson.
