Dallas Mavericks center Salah Mejri underwent successful arthroscopic surgery Thursday for a right knee debridement.

The surgery was performed at The Carrell Clinic in Dallas by team physician Dr. Daniel Worrel.

In his rookie year for the Mavericks this past season, Mejri averaged 3.7 points, 3.6 rebounds and 1.1 blocks in only 11.7 minutes per game. The 7-2, 235-pounder from Tunisia played in 34 games this past season.

After his first season with the Mavs, Matthews is betting on himself in his charity baseball debut Friday at Frisco's Dr. Pepper Ballpark, even if his swing is a little rusty. He speaks with Star-Telegram reporters Brian Gosset and Matthew Martine
