Mavs open summer league play Saturday against Oklahoma City

The Dallas Mavericks will begin play in the Orlando Summer League at 8 a.m. Saturday against the Oklahoma City Thunder.

All games will be played on the Orlando Magic practice court at the Amway Center, and will only be attended by NBA personnel and media members.

Massive center Satnam Singh (7-2, 290) and former Baylor forward Cory Jefferson (6-9, 218) are two of the more prominent players on the Mavericks’ summer league roster.

Bob MacKinnon, who was named Tuesday as the head coach of the Texas Legends, will coach the Mavericks.

The Mavericks will play five games in seven days during the week-long summer league.
