Dallas Mavericks shut down Cooper Flagg for the rest of the Summer League
The Dallas Mavericks gave fans their first look at Cooper Flagg through the first two games of the NBA Summer League in Las Vegas.
But now they are shutting down the No. 1 overall pick, according to NBA correspondent Marc Stein.
Flagg is coming off a monster 31-point performance in the Mavs’ 76-69 loss against Dylan Harper, the No. 2 overall pick in this year’s draft, and the San Antonio Spurs.
The game was a good bounce-back performance for the Duke product, who struggled in his first game against the Los Angeles Lakers, scoring 10 points on 5-of-21 shooting while adding six rebounds, four assists, and three steals in the team’s 87-85 victory.
Fans looking for more Summer League action can watch the Mavs take on former TCU star Damion Baugh and the Charlotte Hornets on Monday at 5:30 p.m. at Thomas & Mack Center.
