Everything Dallas Mavericks fans should know before 2025 NBA Draft Lottery
The Dallas Mavericks will have to wait till the Draft Lottery on May 12 to learn where they’ll pick in the 2025 NBA Draft after making the NBA Play-In Tournament but failing to advance.
The draft lottery is for the 14 teams that didn’t make the NBA Playoffs and determines the first 14 picks in the NBA Draft, with the best odds for the top four selections going to teams with the worst regular season record.
Whichever team gets the top pick is expected to select Duke forward Cooper Flagg, seen as the top overall prospect in this year’s draft.
The Mavs will have a momentous offseason after trading franchise star Luka Doncic to the Los Angeles Lakers for a package centered around star center Anthony Davis, and the draft will be one of their best chances to add talent.
