Dallas Mavericks to be without guard Jalen Brunson for at least next five games
Dallas Mavericks guard Jalen Brunson will miss at least the next five games with a right shoulder sprain, including Monday’s home game against the Minnesota Timberwolves.
Mavs coach Rick Carlisle announced that Brunson would travel with the team on its upcoming four-game road trip but would not play.
Brunson left Saturday’s loss to the Hawks in Atlanta with the injury inside the first minute of play.
Carlisle said Luka Doncic, who missed Saturday’s game with ankle soreness, will play Monday. Forward Kristaps Porzingis, who did not play Saturday because it was the second game of a back-to-back, will also play Monday.
“He will travel and begin rehabbing and we’ll see where we are then,” Carlisle said. “We’ve got J.J. [Barea], who is always ready. He’ll be in the middle of it. He’s a great luxury to have sitting there.”
