Even for Skip Bayless, jabs at Dallas Mavericks star Luka Doncic beyond ridiculous
Wow.
Even for Skip Bayless, this is a new level of ridiculousness.
Bayless, the loudmouthed shock jock of sports punditry on FS1’s “Undisputed,” took some shots at Dallas Mavericks’ guard Luka Doncic, calling him “not special.”
Uh, say what? Have you seen him play, Skip? Doncic has typically been huge late in games during his first season and a half in the NBA.
“I keep hearing how special Luka is, no he’s not special,” Bayless said Wednesday morning. “I’m sorry, I’m not seeing it.”
Maybe Skip should get his eyes checked? We can agree on this: Bayless is sorry.
“Every 4th quarter I watch him in, he comes apart either physically or mentally,” Bayless continued. “It’s blasphemy to compare Luka Doncic to Larry Bird.”
Okay, comparing Doncic to Hall of Famers such as Bird might seem too far, but no one is saying he’s had the career of Bird yet. Comparing Doncic’s style of play, which has also been compared to Magic Johnson and LeBron James, however, is only natural.
This, as usual, was probably mostly an attention-seeking ploy by Bayless. Because there’s no way you could claim Doncic isn’t a superstar by watching him play even just a little.
