Dak, Rangers and City of Dallas help say goodbye to Dirk

The tributes and goodbyes have been coming for months now.

But the emotional farewell to Dirk Nowitzki hit an all-time high on Tuesday night as fans paid tribute to his Hall of Fame career.

Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott and running back Ezekiel Elliott and Texas Rangers all-time great Michael Young were all part of the 20,000-plus packed into American Airlines Center. At one point cameras caught Elliott making his “feed me” gesture for Nowitzki, who had a season-high 26 points early in the fourth quarter.

Messages of appreciation for Nowitzki came from all over the world on Tuesday.
