Cuban told the Star-Telegram that “it will happen.”
He told CoinDesk.com the Mavs will accept multiple types of cryptocurrency. “We will be adding a crypto payment ability for next season. We will accept BTC, Eth, possibly some other currencies. [That’s] to be determined,” Cuban confirmed to CoinDesk.
The NBA’s Sacremento Kings announced they were accepting Bitcoin in 2014.
Cuban is an investor in multiple cryptocurrency companies. The NBA has no authority over the currency its teams accept.
Cryptocurrency are digital assetts designed to work as a medium of exchange that uses cryptography to secure its transactions, to control the creation of additional units, and to verify the transfer of assets.
