Texas Rangers activate third baseman Josh Jung from 10-day injury list

The Texas Rangers activated third baseman Josh Jung off the 10-day injury list on Tuesday after the Texas Tech product had been sidelined with neck spasms.

The Rangers made several other moves, optioning RHP Gerson Garabito and infielder Ezequiel Durán to Triple-A Round Rock.

Garabito struggled in three appearances for the Rangers this season, giving up eight earned runs off 15 hits in eight innings of work.

Durán was hitless this season, going 0-for-11 with one RBI and four strikeouts.

The Rangers also selected RHP Caleb Boushley’s contract from Round Rock and put LHP Cody Bradford on the 60-day injured list with a left elbow sprain.

Bradford suffered the injury during spring training and has yet to pitch for the Rangers during the regular season.

Boushley was drafted by the San Diego Padres in the 33rd round of the 2017 MLB Draft out of the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse.

Boushley is 0-1 with a 2.08 ERA in two appearances this season.
