Baseball is back!

The Texas Rangers’ 50th Anniversary celebration starts with Monday’s home opener. Here’s everything you need to know before the first pitch.

Expand All

The Texas Rangers’ roster is not the only thing in the ballpark that’s gotten a major upgrade.

The lineup of concession stand offerings at Globe Life Field has been expanded with a bunch of new items, including some inventive brisket choices and additional vegan options. Here are the new food options fans will find this season.

Alligator Corn Dog

It sounds exotic and looks exotic, but don’t let that scare you. It tastes like a Cajun version of a corn dog, but with real alligator andouille sausage that’s hand-dipped in corn dog batter and — of course — fried. You can find it (with lots of mustard) at the Bullpen Grill at Section 125.

Chicken Fried Brisket Sandwich

Hand-battered and fried smoked Nolan Ryan beef brisket between two thick slices of Texas Toast with pickles, red onions and Sweet Baby Ray’s barbecue sauce tastes as heavenly as it sounds. It’s available at the Sweet Baby Ray’s stand at Section 125.

Brisket Egg Rolls

House-smoked shredded brisket is encased in a classic egg roll wrap with Napa cabbage and deep fried. It comes with Togarashi-seasoned fries and Sweet Baby Ray’s barbecue sauce for dipping. It’s available at the Go Deep Friend stands at Sections 121, 225 and 230. It was created by a Rangers fan during a 2020 recipe contest.

The Texas Rangers and partner Delaware North have new additions to the concessions stand items available to fans for the 2022 season at Globe Life Field. One of those items is the Brisket Egg Rolls, available at the Go Deep Fried stands in Sections 121, 225 and 230.

Mac and Cheese Nachos

Exactly what it sounds like, and the combo works. Tostitos Tortilla Chips are covered with Ricos Cheese Sauce, creamy mac and cheese, pico de gallo, Ricos Jalapenos and a drizzle of sour cream to create a seamless batterymate. It’s available at concession locations at Sections 106 and 225.

Cornbread Chili Pie Dog

Another seamless combination brings together the best of Frito pie and chili dogs. A Texas Chili all-Angus beef hot dog on a fresh-baked slab of cornbread is topped with Texas Chili’s chili, shredded cheddar cheese, and Ricos Jalapenos. It’s available at concession locations at Sections 132 and 225.

Golden Chick Loaded Fries

Golden Chick’s signature battered fries are loaded with Ricos Nacho Cheese, bacon bits and Ricos Jalapenos. It’s available at the Golden Chick stand at Section 128.

Vegan Bratwurst

The Impossible Vegan Bratwurst is served on a locally baked vegan roll with grilled onions. It’s shockingly similar to the real deal, without the pig entrails. It’s available at the Vegan Cart at Section 101.

Vegan Chicken Salad

It’s a classic chicken salad sandwich with vegan “chicken” served with Terra Chips and sliced vegan bread. It’s available at concession locations at Sections 101 and 205.
