‘Fix this for the sake of Sports!’ LeBron reacts to Houston Astros’ cheating scandal.

The biggest name in the sports world has spoken out about the Houston Astros cheating scandal.

NBA legend LeBron James posted a stinging plea to MLB commissioner Rob Manfred in the wake of the sign-stealing scandal that has elicited a harsh reaction from many of the games biggest stars.

“Listen I know I don’t play baseball but I am in Sports and I know if someone cheated me out of winning the title and I found out about it I would be [freaking] irate!” James posted on Twitter Tuesday afternoon. “I mean like uncontrollable about what I would/could do!”

James implored Manfred to listen to his players, who have found the Astros apologies weak and the lack of player punishment a disgrace.

“Listen here baseball commissioner listen to your players speaking today about how disgusted, mad, hurt, broken, etc etc about this,” James wrote. “Literally the ball is in your court (or should I say field) and you need to fix this for the sake of Sports!”

The issue James may be overlooking is Manfred’s options on punishment are somewhat tied with the power the MLB Players Union has. Many MLB stars, including Aaron Judge and Mike Trout have called for punishments but it’s their own player’s union that would likely balk at any attempt by Manfred to hold specific players accountable.
