How did country music star Cody Johnson do singing the National Anthem at the MLB All-Star Game?

Country Music Star and East Texas native Cody Johnson was on hand Tuesday to sing the National Anthem at the MLB All Star Game.

His rendition on the Star Spangled banner was a marked improvement over fellow country singer Ingrid Andress, whose rendition before the Home Run Derby Monday drew broad criticism for its atonal quality.

Andress acknowledged her poor performance Tuesday writing in an Instagram post that she was drunk while singing the anthem.

Andress apologized and said she’s checking herself into a facility.

Johnson also went viral over the weekend stopping a concert Saturday to speak out about the attempted assasination of former President Donald Trump at a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania.

“If you want to solve a problem in this country, on election day go out there and vote,” Johnson said.
