FIFA names these hotels for nations that pick World Cup base camp in North Texas
After the FIFA World Cup 2026 draw on Friday, Dec. 5, nations will begin looking for a base camp for next summer’s tournament.
Friday’s event will separate the 48 competing nations into 12 four-team groups, which will help paint of picture of who will be playing who next year. From there, each nation will choose the city it wants to set up shop in.
Dallas is one of nearly a dozen U.S. host cities, and FIFA has put together a few recommendations for teams looking to make North Texas home.
The online base camp brochure includes four hotels and practicing facilities for a nation’s “home away from home.”
So if you’re looking for a chance to possibly see some soccer pros around North Texas during the World Cup, here’s where to look.
Hilton Garden Inn Dallas/Arlington South and Mansifeld Stadium
- Hotel: 521 E. Interstate 20, Arlington
- Practice facility: Near Heritage Parkway
Among FIFA’s other recommendations, this hotel is the closest to AT&T Stadium and the organization has paired the forthcoming Mansfield Stadium as its practice facility. Here’s what FIFA wrote in its brochure about the venues:
“Located between Dallas and Fort Worth, the Hilton Garden Inn Dallas/Arlington South offers a full team buyout with spacious rooms, on-site dining, a 24-hour convenience store, fitness center, indoor pool, and meeting spaces.
