WFAA will livestream these high school football games this season on YouTube
The UIL dropped the broadcasting ban this season and has allowed live telecasts during Friday night games, which has given schools and TV stations a chance to lend a hand during the coronavirus pandemic and limited capacity of 50%.
In August, the CW announced it was broadcasting live games starting with Friday’s Class 6A/5A opener between Dallas Jesuit and Flower Mound Marcus, and all the way until the state semifinals in January.
Also on Friday, Fox Sports Southwest will air a double-header from AT&T Stadium: Arlington Martin-Denton Ryan at 4 p.m. and Longview-Temple at 8 p.m.
WFAA is also livestreaming games this season through its YouTube channel and has done so for the past four weeks.
Spectators who aren’t able to attend games can go watch the WFAA game of the week, which features play-by-play from WFAA anchor Mike Leslie and former TCU wide receiver John Diarse.
