Aledo 4-star 2021 wide receiver JoJo Earle announced his Top 5 schools on Jan. 11 and it includes a local team, TCU, along with Oklahoma, Alabama, Ohio State and LSU.

LSU is coming off the national championship on Monday over Clemson in New Orleans.

Earle had a great junior campaign with the Bearcats, capped off with the Class 5A Division 2 state title, the program’s UIL 11-man record ninth championship.

Earle made 84 catches for 1,601 yards and 16 touchdowns. He added 429 yards rushing and 11 TDs. Earle was voted District 5-5A Division 2 Co-Offensive MVP. On Tuesday, he was named Fort Worth Star-Telegram first-team all-area WR. He was also named MaxPreps National Juniors All-American second-team.

Earle, who holds 20 offers, is ranked as the No. 15 WR in the nation among the 2021 class. He’s also the No. 17 ranked prospect in the state, per 247Sports.

According to 247Sports expert Mike Roach, Texas was the leading candidate to land Earle, but the Longhorns missed the cut.
