New Baylor coaches have an eye on area recruits
New Baylor football head coach Matt Rhule and his staff are making their rounds on the recruiting season as the Feb. 1 national signing day is just around the corner. The Bears are looking at some area kids, a couple of which are committed elsewhere.
Mansfield senior running back Kennedy Brooks is committed to Oklahoma, but got an offer from the Bears on Friday. Maybe a reason behind the offer just might be from new assistant coach Joey McGuire, who was head coach from Tigers rival Cedar Hill.

Sorry to sound repetitive, but Justin Northwest senior wideout Gavin Holmes picked up another offer, from Baylor, also on Friday. The offers are piling up for the 1,500-yard receiver.

Fort Worth Arlington Heights senior receiver Tariq Woolen picked up his seventh DI offer, from Baylor, on Tuesday. Woolen committed to UT-San Antonio on Sunday. He made first team District 7-5A this season.
