Lamar still in playoff hunt

Arlington Lamar quarterback Chance Fuller passed for six touchdowns on 11-of-19 passing for 193 yards in the Vikings’ 48-9 District 4-6A victory over Fort Worth Paschal at Clark Stadium. Fuller’s top target was Dayton Dubs, who hauled in six passes for 122 yards and three touchdowns.

Key players: In addition to Fuller and Dubs, running back Rashod Polk had 79 yards on nine carries and a touchdown, capping a personal 66-yard drive (he gained every yard on four carries) with a 6-yard scoring run. Lamar defender Kyron Johnson forced two fumbles, one recovered by Armani Presley and another by DeShawn Gaddie, both setting up scores. Kaden Hadawi had a blocked punt late in the first half that set up another Vikings TD. For Paschal, running back Edwin Allen rushed for 111 yards and a touchdown.

Key stat: Lamar’s playoff prospects come down to a regular-season finale next week against Arlington Martin. The winner gets the final playoff berth in 4-6A.

Records: Lamar 5-4, 3-3; Paschal 2-7, 0-6.
