Faith RB rushes for 399 yards in win
Senior running back Keyshawn Wyatt rushed for 399 yards and six touchdowns to lead visiting Grapevine Faith past Fort Worth Christian 66-21 in a TAPPS Division II District 1 game Friday at Barrow Field in North Richland Hills.
Key players: The score was 14-all when Wyatt ran for his second touchdown, an 83-yarder up the middle with 59 seconds left in the first quarter to give Grapevine the lead for good. Three of Wyatt’s scores came on the first play of their possession. By halftime, Wyatt had rushed for 356 yards and five touchdowns.
Key stats: Faith’s defense turned five Cardinals turnovers into touchdowns by the Lions, including 36 and 44-yard interception returns for scores by Austin Geiser and Ethan Fleming, respectively.
