Everman snags early momentum, crashes Joshua’s homecoming

Everman scored twice in the final 1:02 of the first half, giving the Bulldogs enough momentum for a road victory, dashing Joshua’s homecoming game in a 34-7 victory. The Bulldogs scored twice in the second half while also holding Joshua scoreless for the final three quarters.

Key players: Everman RB Kenneth Johnson rushed 20 times for 161 yards and two TDs, including a 38-yard run in the third quarter. Dwight Tucker added 122 yards on seven carries for the Bulldogs. Owls RB Justin Emberton had 19 carries for 48 yards.

Key stat: Everman rolled up 403 yards rushing on 39 carries. The Bulldogs defense limited the Owls to just 132 yards for the game (124 rushing, eight yards passing). Everman gave up an average of 2.6 yards per carry to Joshua.
