Crowley offense swamps Seguin
Crowley quarterback Chris James passed for 256 yards and two touchdowns and ran for a score to lead the playoff-bound Eagles past Arlington Seguin 40-14 in a District 9-5A game Friday at Wilemon Field in Arlington. Crowley, unbeaten in district, led by just seven at halftime but put the game away in the third with touchdowns on four consecutive possessions.
Key players: Jarel Miller finished with three catches for 85 yards, including a 72-yard TD, and Cameryn Kinney added two catches for 63 and a 38-yard TD. Crowley’s Andre Mulinax returned a blocked field goal 83 yards for a touchdown. Seguin quarterback Jordan Palacpac rushed for 67 yards and a touchdown.
Key stat: Seguin had only 226 yards, just 34 passing.
Records: Crowley 7-1, 5-0 in 9-5A, Seguin 5-3, 3-2.
