Lake Worth earns 2nd district win

Lake Worth won its second district game of the season, thumping Fort Worth Castleberry 48-13 in a District 5-4A game Friday night.

Key players: Lake Worth running back Carnell Tate had 145 rushing yards, scored two rushing touchdowns in the second quarter and two in the third. Quarterback Casey Carroll threw a touchdown pass to Jonathan Casillas. Myshun Bowie also scored a touchdown for Lake Worth. Castleberry quarterback J.P. Ortiz threw a pass to Julian Gomez at 72 yards and Joseph Flores also scored a touchdown.

Key stats: Lake Worth rushed for 424 yards compared to Castleberry which only had 84.

Records: Lake Worth 2-6, 2-5, 5-4A, Castleberry 2-6, 1-6
