Fort Worth South Hills romps past FW Western Hills

Unbeaten Fort Worth South Hills scored touchdowns on five of seven first-half possessions to overwhelm Fort Worth Western Hills 56-0 in a District 7-5A game Friday at Scarborough-Handley Field.

Key players: South Hills quarterback Trey Jones completed 12 of 16 passes for 192 yards and two touchdowns. He also ran for three touchdowns. Teammate Kyron Jackson rushed seven times for 70 yards and a pair of touchdowns.

Key stats: Five of the Scorpuons’ seven touchdown drives began in Cougars territory. Western Hills was limited to 111 yards and three first downs. The Cougars did not get their initial first down until 6:03 remained in the third quarter. At that point, South Hills led 42-0.

Records: Western Hills 3-4, 1-3 7-5A; South Hills 7-0, 4-0.
