Baseball roundup: Southlake Carroll sweeps past Mansfield

Southlake Carroll starter Kole Ramage threw a three-hit 2-0 shutout Saturday against Mansfield to complete a two-game sweep of the Tigers in a Class 6A bi-district baseball series.

Carroll (21-6-1) moves on to face either Hebron or Denton Ryan in the area round next week.

Ramage (8-1) worked efficiently, striking out three and not walking a batter in an effort that took less than two hours to complete.

He hasn’t given up anything hardly all year, and just kept them off balance, had great control, and I can’t ask for more.
