Mike Hafley is no longer serving as head coach of the Poolville High School baseball team.

According to a Poolville ISD Facebook post, the district is looking to hire its next head baseball coach and an assistant baseball coach.

It is unclear whether Hafley resigned or was fired.

When reached for comment, a Poolville ISD employee told the Star-Telegram the district can’t discuss personnel issues. Superintendent Chris Pennington did not respond to an email seeking information about Hafley’s status.

Attempts to reach Hafley were unsuccessful.

Poolville was removed from the University Interscholastic League baseball playoffs after the district self-reported a violation. The failure to fill out one prior athletic participation form (PAPF) was the issue.

Poolville won District 13-2A with an 8-1 league record before having to relinquish its title and playoff berth.
