A North Crowley DB decommitted from Georgia days ago. He has a new commitment
North Crowley four-star defensive back Jerry Outhouse Jr. announced his commitment to UCLA Friday.
Outhouse, who was previously committed to Georgia, decommit from the Bulldogs Wednesday. Two days later, he announced the switch to UCLA.
“Haha IM HOME,” Outhouse wrote on X with a GOBRUINS hashtag.
Outhouse told 247Sports he chose UCLA because he wanted more opportunity on and off the field.
Outhouse has over 40 offers, and other finalists for his commitment originally included Georgia, Arizona State, Florida and Texas Tech. He is ESPN’s No. 8 cornerback nationwide and 247Sports’ No. 24 overall class of 2027 player in Texas.
In the upcoming 2026 season, Outhouse will share the field with safety Elijajuan Houston, the 2025 District 3-6A MVP and 2025 Star-Telegram Defensive Player of the Year, as well as John Meredith III, who holds the distinction of being both the highest-rated Class of 2027 recruit in Texas and the top-ranked defensive back recruit in the nation.
Outhouse, with a 6-foot-1, 180-pound frame, runs a 4.43 40-yard dash. He originally played at White Settlement Brewer, where he tallied six interceptions as a sophomore.
He is the second Fort Worth-area player to commit to UCLA this week. George Toia, the brother of Dallas Cowboys defensive tackle Jay Toia, announced his commitment Thursday. He is rated as the No. 14 class of 2027 player in Texas.
