Former Fort Worth-area Player of the Year, state champion transfers to TCU
A two-time Star-Telegram Fort Worth-area Girls High School Basketball Player of the Year is returning to Cowtown.
Camille Williams, a former Boswell High School standout who led the Pioneers to the Class 6A Division II championship in 2025, announced her commitment out of the transfer portal to TCU Wednesday. She did not play in her freshman season at Miami, utilizing her red shirt.
As a four-star recruit out of high school, Williams was rated as the No. 4 overall class of 2025 prospect in Texas and No. 36 in the nation by ESPN. She earned Star-Telegram Player of the Year honors as a junior and senior — in her final season with Boswell, she averaged 16.2 points, 8 rebounds, 4.3 assists and 3 steals en route to district MVP honors.
William, a two time Texas Girls Coaches Association All-State selection, helped make history for Fort Worth, delivering the city’s first girls basketball state championship in 18 years. She is a guard with a 5-foot-11 frame and a well-rounded game.
