Introducing the 2025-26 Boys Basketball Defensive Player of the Year
Introducing the Star-Telegram’s 2025-26 Fort Worth-area Boys High School Basketball Defensive Player of the Year:
North Crowley junior Kameron Price
Price played a crucial role in North Crowley’s run to a Class 6A Division I state championship, averaging 6.63 points, 3.21 rebounds, 5.71 assists and 2.42 steals per contest.
He was named the District 3-6A Defensive Player of the Year in a district packed with talent. He welcomed tough defensive assignments, leading the way for the Panther’s perimeter defense that helped secure a 35-3 overall record and a district title.
He played winning basketball overall, recording a 4.72 assist to turnover ratio and committing 46 turnovers in 38 games played. His team oriented play didn’t require him to be a top scorer, but it was just as important to the squad’s area leading success.
