Introducing the Star-Telegram’s 2025-26 Fort Worth-area Girls High School Basketball Newcomer of the Year:

North Crowley freshman Sukari Kinney

Kinney played a key role in a strong North Crowley season that saw the Panthers earn a No. 2 ranking in Class 6A from the Texas Association of Basketball Coaches. Kinney averaged 15 points, 3 rebounds and 3 steals, powering North Crowley (30-5) to a regional final appearance.

She was named the District 3-6A freshman/sophomore of the year.
